Dylan S. Moench joined the Supreme Court of Texas Permanent Judicial Commission for Children, Youth and Families in October of 2016. His focus is on improving outcomes for Texas children through the Legal Process and Practice Committee, which include projects relating to legal representation, legislation, and parent resources, and the Data Committee which includes projects using data tracking and analysis to improve court processes. Prior to working for the Supreme Court, he worked as a Staff Attorney for the Travis County Office of Child Representation and as a mediator specializing in child welfare mediation. He earned a Juris Doctorate from the University of Texas School of Law in 2003 and Bachelor of Science in Philosophy from the University of Utah in 1999. He is a National Association of Counsel for Children certified Child Welfare Law Specialist and the chair of the Texas Board of Legal Specialization Child Welfare Law Exam Commission.
